    Nursing Director - LDRP

Fort Mill, South Carolina Permanent Full-Time Days

    The Opportunity

A health system in the greater Fort Mill, South Carolina area is seeking a Nursing Director for its LDRP program. This is a permanent, full-time director-level role with direct accountability to the Chief Nursing Officer. If you have a strong foundation in women's services leadership and you're ready to operate at scale across multiple units — L&D, Mom/Baby, and NICU — this position is worth a close look.

You will carry 24/7 operational accountability for your assigned departments. Day to day, that means assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice at a multi-unit level. You'll drive clinical staff competency, manage resources effectively, and ensure the consistent delivery of safe, patient-centered care. This is a high-trust role that sits close to senior executive leadership and directly shapes nursing outcomes across the service line.

The organization offers full benefits and relocation assistance is available for the right candidate. This is a well-established service line with the infrastructure, support, and organizational commitment that experienced nurse leaders need to do their best work.

Candidates must hold an RN license and a BSN, or an Associate degree from an accredited nursing school combined with a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field. At least two years of progressive management experience at the manager or director level in a hospital setting is required, including a minimum of two years specifically in women's services — Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, or NICU. An MSN or a master's degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.

If your background aligns, we want to talk. Apply directly or reach out to schedule a confidential call. Qualified candidates with women's services leadership experience will be prioritized.

    Why Fort Mill?

Fort Mill, South Carolina sits just south of the North Carolina state line, putting you roughly 20 to 30 minutes from Uptown Charlotte while keeping you firmly in South Carolina's more favorable tax environment. That combination — metro access without metro property tax rates — is one of the primary reasons the area has seen consistent growth from families and professionals relocating from across the region. The town itself has maintained a genuine community feel despite that growth, with a walkable downtown, strong local businesses, and a pace of life that feels deliberate rather than frantic.

The Fort Mill School District is consistently ranked among the best in South Carolina, which makes this an easy choice for families with school-age children. Outdoor access is exceptional — the Anne Springs Close Greenway covers more than 2,100 acres of trails, lakes, and open land, and it's minutes from most neighborhoods. Charlotte Douglas International Airport is a short drive away, keeping you connected nationally without the commute burden of living inside the city. For candidates weighing a relocation, Fort Mill offers a rare balance: real career infrastructure in a major metro corridor, paired with a community where you can actually put down roots.
