Director of Nursing - Women's Services

    Framingham, Massachusetts Permanent Full-Time Days

    The Opportunity

A senior nursing leadership opportunity is open in the MetroWest region of Massachusetts. This Director of Nursing role sits directly beneath the CNO, carrying multi-unit accountability across a Women's Services line. The scope is substantive — 24/7 operational ownership of clinical standards, staff competency, and resource management across multiple units. For a nurse leader who has been building toward a Director title or is ready to grow beyond a Manager role, this is the kind of position that carries real weight and sets up the next move.

One opening is available. The schedule is full-time days — permanent and direct-hire. This is not a contract or travel assignment. It is a seat at the table where clinical practice and operational strategy get shaped, with the visibility that comes from reporting directly to senior executive nursing leadership.

Full benefits are included. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate, and interview travel is reimbursed. Compensation is Competitive Based on Experience.

Candidates must hold an active, current RN license in the state of practice along with a BSN from an accredited nursing school — or an Associate degree in nursing paired with a bachelor's in a healthcare-related field. CPR certification is required. A minimum of two years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment, as a manager or full-time charge nurse, is expected. An MSN or master's in a healthcare-related field is preferred. A background in acute care is a strong asset. The role demands demonstrated hospital operational fluency, effective interpersonal and communication skills, and the leadership credibility to serve as a role model for the professional discipline of nursing.

If your background aligns, apply directly through this page or book a confidential call with our team. We will walk you through the details and next steps.

    Why Framingham?

Framingham sits at the center of the MetroWest corridor, roughly 20 miles west of Boston and 20 miles east of Worcester. Commuter rail runs directly into South Station, making Boston genuinely accessible without requiring daily city living. For a healthcare professional relocating to the region, that connection matters — you get proximity to a major metro without being inside it, and real flexibility on where and how you put down roots. Housing is more competitive than inland Massachusetts but substantially more manageable than Boston proper, with a range of neighborhood options from established residential streets to newer developments. The cost-of-living difference is meaningful, especially for someone stepping into a Director-level compensation range.

Framingham is one of the most culturally diverse cities in New England. A strong Brazilian community shapes the food scene and cultural calendar, and downtown is genuinely walkable — independent restaurants, coffee shops, and a local arts presence that sets it apart from most suburban communities its size. The city maintains over 800 acres of parkland and three public beaches at Cochituate State Park, giving outdoor-focused residents real recreational infrastructure across all four seasons. Public schools carry strong academic programming, and the surrounding region offers well-regarded private options as well. For clinicians with families or those building toward long-term roots, the MetroWest corridor consistently ranks among the most livable stretches of Massachusetts — connected enough to Boston to matter, grounded enough to feel like home.
