Labor & Delivery Clinical Nurse Coordinator

Dickson, Tennessee Permanent Full-Time Nights | Rotating Weekends (Every Other Weekend)

    The Opportunity

This is a full-time, permanent Labor & Delivery Clinical Nurse Coordinator opportunity at a 150-plus-bed accredited regional medical center in Dickson, Tennessee. The role carries genuine administrative weight — you are not just covering a shift, you are owning it. As the CNC on nights, you function as both Charge Nurse and acting Assistant Nurse Manager, serving as the go-to authority for staffing decisions, patient throughput, and clinical escalations from the moment the day shift clocks out.

One opening is available. The schedule is full-time nights with rotating weekends every other weekend. Candidates must be comfortable operating independently, delivering babies, and scrubbing in the OR as needed. This is a leadership role in the truest sense — not a senior staff position with a title attached.

A sign-on bonus is available and determined on a case-by-case basis. Relocation assistance is negotiable. Compensation is competitive and based on experience.

Minimum requirements include an Associate Degree, active RN licensure, BLS (required within 30 days of start), ACLS (required within one year of start), a minimum of two years of Labor and Delivery RN experience, and any prior leadership experience in Women's, L&D, NICU, or Mother-Baby units.

If you are ready to be the person the unit depends on when it matters most, this role is worth your attention. Apply directly or book a confidential call — five minutes is all it takes to get the conversation started.

40 miles from Nashville with below-average housing costs

    Why Dickson?

Dickson, Tennessee sits roughly 40 miles west of Nashville, giving you real proximity to one of the South's most dynamic cities without paying Nashville prices to live there. Housing costs are well below the national average, Tennessee carries no state income tax, and the pace of daily life here is genuinely different from a major metro — in the right ways. The community is tight-knit, the commute is manageable, and access to Nashville for dining, live music, sports, and cultural events is there whenever you want it.

The outdoor recreation alone makes Dickson worth a serious look. Montgomery Bell State Park sits practically in the city's backyard, offering miles of hiking trails, fishing, kayaking, and camping across all four seasons. The climate is mild through most of the year — enough seasonal variation to feel like home, without the extremes of the Northeast or Upper Midwest. Families will find solid school options and a community that still carries that small-city feel, where neighbors know each other and life moves at a sustainable pace. If you have been watching Nashville's growth from the outside and wondering where the livable, affordable version of that region is, Dickson is a legitimate answer.
