The Opportunity
A nationally recognized tertiary care health system in Dallas, Texas is seeking a Nurse Manager of NICU to lead a 25-bed Level IV neonatal unit. This is a permanent role reporting directly to the Director of NICU, with full 24/7 accountability for department operations, clinical quality, personnel management, and physician relationships. If you have recent Level IV NICU leadership experience and you are ready to operate at a higher level of scope and consequence, this position is worth a close look.

You will oversee four RN Supervisors per shift and carry management responsibility for a unit that handles 17 to 35 patients. Your scope includes payroll, budget, capital planning, business plan execution, and process improvement — alongside direct accountability for clinical outcomes and care quality for neonates up to two years of age. You will also serve as a liaison to hospital leadership, the medical staff, the community, and other institutions.
The organization offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health coverage, free telemedicine services, a 401(k) plan with 100% match on 3% to 9% of pay based on years of service, an employee stock purchase plan, education assistance, and paid family leave. Relocation assistance is considered on a case-by-case basis. Compensation is Competitive Based on Experience.
Candidates must hold an active Texas RN license or a valid compact license, a BSN, and current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. NRP certification is required upon hire. At least two years of recent Level IV NICU leadership experience — within the last year — in an acute care setting is required. An advanced degree is preferred.

The Package
Why Dallas?
Dallas, Texas is one of the few major metros in the country where genuine career infrastructure and an affordable cost of living coexist. The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex ranks among the fastest-growing regions in the United States, with an economy anchored in healthcare, finance, technology, and energy. No state income tax means your compensation goes further here than in most comparable markets on either coast. Housing remains accessible relative to other large metros, with a wide range of neighborhoods — from walkable urban districts to established suburban communities with strong schools and manageable commute times.
Culturally, Dallas delivers well beyond its reputation. The Arts District is one of the largest urban arts districts in the country, with world-class museums, performing arts venues, and galleries concentrated in a walkable corridor. The restaurant scene is diverse and serious, the professional sports calendar runs nearly year-round, and the city's parks and trail systems provide real outdoor access within the metro. Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is one of the busiest hubs in the country, connecting you nonstop to virtually any destination. For clinicians weighing a relocation, Dallas offers a combination of career opportunity, financial upside, and quality of life that is genuinely difficult to match.
