The Opportunity
This is a staff-level Cardiovascular ICU opportunity for an experienced RN ready to work at the top of their clinical scope. The unit is an 18-bed CVICU with a focused patient population — cardiovascular surgery, mechanical circulatory support, and cardiac critical care. Nurse-to-patient ratios hold at 1:1 or 1:2, and the unit operates under Cardiac Intensivist-led management. If your background is built for this environment, your clinical decisions will carry real weight.
This is a full-time, permanent position. Clinical responsibilities span the full spectrum of cardiovascular critical care: ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive drip titration, Impella and IABP management, CRRT, post-cardiotomy recovery, and RN-led ECMO management. The average daily census runs at 17 patients, and the care model is built around precision and accountability rather than volume.
Compensation is Competitive Based on Experience and includes a full benefits package. Relocation assistance is negotiable for the right candidate.
Candidates must hold a valid RN state license with current BLS and ACLS certifications. A minimum of three years of Cardiovascular ICU experience is required, with a strong background in open-heart surgery recovery. Hands-on experience with mechanical circulatory support devices — specifically Impella, IABP, ECMO, and durable LVAD — is essential. A BSN is preferred. Competency in hemodynamic monitoring, critical care assessment, infection prevention metrics, and quality indicators is expected from day one.
If your background matches, apply directly through this page or book a confidential call with our recruiting team. Roles at this acuity level and ratio fill quickly — do not sit on it.

Why Tulsa?
Tulsa sits in the northeastern corner of Oklahoma, positioned along the Arkansas River with access to the Ozark hills and Green Country beyond. It is a city of roughly 425,000 with the infrastructure of a metro and the commute times of somewhere far smaller — most crosstown drives clock in under 20 minutes. The cost of living ranks among the lowest of any comparably sized American city, which means a competitive nursing income translates into genuine purchasing power. Housing is affordable across a wide range of neighborhoods, and the pace of daily life here tends to reward the people who choose it deliberately.
The cultural scene carries more depth than Tulsa's regional reputation suggests. The Gathering Place — a 100-acre riverfront park — has drawn national recognition as one of the finest urban parks in the country. The Brady Arts District and the historic Deco District offer independent dining, live music, and a creative energy that continues to build. Surrounding communities like Jenks, Broken Arrow, and South Tulsa offer strong public schools and stable, family-oriented neighborhoods within easy reach of the medical corridor. Outdoor access is real: kayaking and paddleboarding on the Arkansas, hiking in the Osage Hills, and weekend trips to Grand Lake are all within range. For a clinician weighing a permanent move, Tulsa offers affordability, stability, and considerably more texture than most candidates expect before they get here.
